Small town with less than 5.000 inhabitants, developed along the ancient Roman Street “Flaminia” and situated near the marvellous gorge of Furlo at about 40 kilometres from Fano, Acqualagna is characterised by a very ancient tradition of search, production and commerce of truffle.
The visitors who have the possibility to taste the sweetness of truffle can also admire a marvellous scenery, represented by the Furlo reserve and by the territory of Catria and Nerone Mountains, the least one is even furnished with equipment for winter sports.
With the beauty of its scenery and the fragrance of truffle, Acqualagna is really a special place.
Recommended is the ancient San Vincenzo al Furlo Abbey of the VIII th century.
The National Truffle Fair is held on every last Sunday of October for two weeks.
