Villa Cattani Stuart: A Journey Through Art and Nature
Guided tours from July through September
Nestled in the heart of the Pesaro hills with a view of the Adriatic Sea, Villa Cattani Stuart once again opens its doors this year to visitors eager to discover the beauty of art. With over three centuries of history, the estate is a precious example of a noble villa in the Marche region, embellished with frescoes by Niccolò Berrettoni, one of the most important students of Cantarini and Maratta.
During the guided tour, you’ll stroll through the elegant frescoed halls and learn about the figures who left their mark on the villa’s history, including James III Stuart, pretender to the English throne, who was a guest at the villa in 1726.
Outside, the refined Italian gardens await you, restored in keeping with their original design: perfect geometric patterns, manicured hedges, and vistas that draw the eye toward the hills and the Adriatic Sea. To this day, the villa retains the charm of its historic architecture and the harmony of the surrounding landscape.
Guided tours are organized by Pesaro Walking and conclude with a delightful aperitif, to be enjoyed amidst the estate’s lush greenery, offering an experience that combines culture, art, and nature.
