Angelo in Lizzola, Colbordolo, Montecalvo in Foglia until you get to Mondaino, a beautiful village from the circular square.
We continue from the hill to the hill until we reach Gradara, a beautiful historic village linked to the love story of Paolo and Francesca, made immortal by the verses of Canto V of Dante’s Inferno. Guided tour of the Castle and then continue our slightly downhill ride towards Fano and Gabicce Mare and then on towards Gabicce Monte to admire a fabulous view. We continue through the San Bartolo Park until we return to Pesaro at our starting point.
On return, a relaxing massage awaits you in the hotel’s bike room.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the Villa Cattani Stuart Hotel with the equipped shuttle. Today we start from Fossombrone, which still preserves the remains and ruins of the Malatesta Fortress. You cycle on the ancient Flaminia road towards the Gola del Furlo, a stunning landscape full of colors, oak and placed between two high rocky peaks of the Paganuccio and Pietralata mountains.
We arrive in Acqualagna famous for its food and wine and truffles, the subject of a small tasting before returning to Urbania and then Urbino, the “Ideal City” of Federico, home to one of the most complete and refined civilizations of the Italian Renaissance and Unesco Heritage, with also the birthplace of Raffaello Sanzio. We leave Urbino to cross the beautiful coniferous woods of the Monti delle until we return to our starting point Fossombrone.
Transfer by shuttle to the Villa Cattani Stuart Hotel, where a meeting with a nutritionist will be held to illustrate the secrets of a perfect diet for those who ride!
After breakfast at Villa Cattani Stuart we leave for Pesaro along the cycle path that runs along the Adriatic Sea. We continue our ride to Ginestreto, S. Angelo in Lizzola and Montegaudio. The view at this point is really worthy of a photo memory, but the continuous ups and downs suggest that it is better not to let our engines cool down that will be severely tested on the climb of Mombaroccio, a city of the twelfth century, with walls and medieval doors still intact.
Continuing up to the top of the pass we arrive at the beautiful Sanctuary of the Blessed Sante. After the hard work a nice descent towards Cartoceto, famous throughout the world for its production of extra virgin olive oil. Always downhill we will follow the signs for Calcinelli, Saltara and then direction Fano, the City of Fortune. Waterfront cycle until you get back to Pesaro and the hotel.
At the end of the day, the guests will come back to feel the scent of the sea with a beautiful aperitif in a sunset boat organized for them.
After breakfast at Villa Cattani Stuart we leave for Fano and continue to Marotta always overlooking the Adriatic Sea. We will then proceed on the rolling hills of Metauro, hills full of ups and downs and adorned by the Bianchello vineyards, a DOC wine whose production is possible only in this stretch of Marche that from the sea rises up to the hills.
We climb towards San Costanzo to reach the walls of Orciano di Pesaro. Visit the village and its Renaissance Church of Santa Maria Novella. We leave for Sant’Ippolito a fortified village clinging to a hill famous for being the home of stonemasons working sandstone. Back down to Fossombrone and Montemaggiore to the Metauro then direction Fano and then hotel.
After the first rich breakfast at Villa Cattani Stuart we start in the direction of Urbino through the small town of Apsella near the former parish church of S. Tommaso in Foglia (X century) and continue to Carpegna (“The Carpegna is enough” cit. Pantani), Mercatale, Sassocorvaro as far as Rio Salso where we will take the uphill road that will lead us to the enchanting fortified village of Montefabbri, located between the Foglia river and the Aspa torrent. We continue to the Monte di Colbordolo, and then Talacchio, Villa Fastiggi until we return to the center of Pesaro and hotel where we will end our beautiful ride.
For those who want it is also organized another exit, this time in e-bike in the San Bartolo Natural Park of Pesaro in the afternoon.
After breakfast at Villa Cattani Stuart we start towards Urbino, Unesco Heritage at the time of our cultural cycling today. Today our destination will be precisely the beautiful Ducal city of Urbino. Its splendid Ducal Palace, symbol of the Renaissance, will tempt us to visit the beautiful National Gallery of the Marche.
Today’s itinerary will be a sweet climb up to Urbino passing through the beautiful hills that surround this beautiful Renaissance setting. We will also visit the Cathedral, the Oratories and the birthplace of Raphael. After the guided tour of the city of Urbino, we will put on our bikes and in light descent we will reach Pesaro, also a UNESCO heritage as a city of Music.
Upon returning to the hotel, special gifts will be delivered by Villa Cattani Stuart to all guests.
